6 Game of Thrones characters who would make great club leaders

Do you find yourself involved in a club on campus? Looking to build the perfect leadership team? If you’re like me and love GoT, this E-Board will be your dream come true.

President: Daenerys Targaryen

“The Mother of Dragons” and “Breaker of Chains” are just a few names Dany has acquired. She’s a natural born leader who wears her confidence like a cape. She knows how to rally a group over a common cause and dreams big. She has high expectations for her team and values dedicated members who work hard for the cause. Most importantly, she is great at empowering others and moving people to take action against injustice. Also, dragons.

Vice President: Jon Snow

Although Jon Snow chose to join the Night’s Watch for a lifetime of service guarding The Wall, he managed to overcome difficult situations with bravery and zeal. Jon Snow understands the importance of loyalty, humility, and compassion. It’s no surprise that his Night’s Watch brothers, Wildlings, and others from Westeros have sought his council and look to him for guidance and support. Jon Snow was the understudy to the previous Lord Commander where he developed his leadership skills, making him the perfect Vice President.

Treasurer: Tyrion Lannister

When he was in King’s Landing, Tyrion served as the Master of Coin. Tyrion was in charge of the royal treasury, sat on the King’s small council, and was responsible for raising money to meet the Crown’s needs. His intuition and understanding of other people allow him to make informed and strategic decisions. With Tyrion as Treasurer, the finances will be well taken care of. After all, a Lannister always pays his debts!

Secretary: Bran Stark

With the ability to see past, present, and future, there is no better choice for a secretary. Bran knows the importance of keeping detailed records, documenting your chapter’s goals and history for future sustainability. He keeps everyone on the team organized and informed of upcoming meetings and important updates.

External/Collaborations: Margaery Tyrell

Margaery-1

An expert at diplomacy and creating alliances, Margaery Tyrell is a persuasive voice that is able to work closely with other groups. She understands how to foster collaboration and would do a great job creating partnerships and co-hosting events. She is charming, easy to connect with, and understands the importance of teamwork.

PR/Marketing: Ravens

Ravens are incredibly intelligent, dependable and well trained in communication. They travel long distances and reach a wide variety of target populations. Their messages are usually concise and filled with the latest information on the constant changes in the Seven Kingdoms. In a lot of ways, ravens are Game of Thrones’ version of Twitter.

Faculty Advisor: George R.R. Martin

The faculty advisor is there to oversee and help guide the activity of the club. Who better to lead a chapter than the creator himself? Like many professors, George R.R. Martin does a lot of writing and he is great at directing the course of action season to season. As fans of the TV show have seen, he also knows when to step back and allow others to take creative initiative, although he is always watching over the process and has the team’s back at all times! Now, George, can you please get to finishing the series?
